3-Star LB Mike Marry Done With Visits?

Mike Marry, the No. 28 middle linebacker in the country by Scout.com has already visited Iowa State, USF, Duke, and visited Ole Miss this weekend, and is getting close to making his college choice. See what the 3-star Largo linebacker has to say, and what schools are still in the running. Stay informed with USFNation.com

Largo 3-star Linebacker Mike Marry is one of the top unsigned prospects in the area, and he just returned from his fourth and what may be his last official visit to Ole Miss.

"The visit went good," said Marry. "I learned a lot about the school, the coaches, and had a good time. It was a good visit."

Marry (6'3-210) was hosted by former Packer teammate running back Dexter McCluster.

"Dexter was my host, it was good seeing him again," said Marry. "He showed me around and we had a fun time."

The 3-star LB has already visited Iowa State, USF, Duke, Ole Miss and was thinking about visiting West Virginia this weekend but that doesn't seem likely now.

"No I don't think I'm going to take a visit" said Marry. "I think I'm done."

After finishing the season with 100 tackles, 7 sacks, and 1 interception. Marry earned back to back Tampa Bay Times Defensive Player of the Year, and is one of the more coveted players in Florida with over 32 offers, but has narrowed his choices down to the schools he's visited.

"I'm considering Duke, Ole Miss, Iowa State, and USF," said Marry. "Now I got to think about my choices."

Now that it looks like Marry is done with visits and has seen all the schools he's considering, do any of the programs stand out at this time?

"No, not really," said Marry. "I pretty much like the same things about all the schools. All of them are good schools in different ways, and I like them all in the same way. That's what makes the choice so hard. They're all about even."

"All the schools got great coaches, Coach Nutt, Coach Leavitt, and Coach Rhoads are all great coaches, they all need linebackers, and I got along with the players at each school. I have a lot of thinking to do."

Since all the schools have great qualities, and are about even, what is the talented linebacker looking for to help him decide?

"I'm going sit down, talk things over with my dad and pray," said Marry. "But I'm straight, and I'll figure it out."

Marry was playing basketball for the Largo Packers, but stopped playing two week ago to focus on his big decision.

"I was playing, but I'm not anymore because of all the time I needed for the recruiting stuff."

With no more official visits to take, the next several days will be busy for Marry, who will host in-home visits each day.

"Iowa State came already, and Duke, Ole Miss, and USF, will be coming by the next few days."

Marry doesn't have a time table for when he'll make a decision, but knows he wants to make it soon.

"I don't know when, but I don't think it'll go down to a signing day decision. I want to talk things over with my dad, and decide as soon as possible."
