Mark Joyce a hard hitting linebacker/ safety at Deland High school committed to USF Wednesday after visiting the campus. The 3-star safety just committed to Coach Leavitt and USFNation caught up with him during his drive home.
"I just committed to USF today," said Joyce. "I told coach Leavitt around 2:00 this afternoon. He was very excited, and so am I."
Joyce, 6-foot-1 and 215 pounds, has emerged as one of the top safety prospects in the central Florida and had offers from Texas Tech, Ole Miss, Wisconsin, Georgia Tech, Louisville, and Boston College, among others before choosing the Bulls.
"I loved the campus, it was close to home, and I really like the coaching staff," said Joyce. "I feel like it's a very good fit."
As a junior, Joyce registered 65 tackles with 13 tackles for-a-loss and also two interceptions.
