USF Men's Basketball Conference Schedule

The BIG EAST Conference announced today the 2009-10 league schedule that opens for the Bulls on Wednesday, Dec. 30 at Louisville. The conference slate features nine road and nine home games with Sun Dome visits by Notre Dame, UCONN, PITT, & West Virginia.

The BIG EAST schedule consists of 18 conference games, nine home and 9 away, with a format featuring 12 opponents once and three teams twice. The Bulls home schedule is headlined by two No. 1 seeds from the 2009 NCAA Championship with Connecticut on Mar. 6 and Pittsburgh on Jan. 31, as well as 2009 No. 6 seed West Virginia on Jan. 13. The road schedule features 2009 BIG EAST Champion Louisville who earned a No. 1 and made it to the Elite 8, and Villanova who played in the Final Four on Feb. 24.

USF's first scheduled nationally TV broadcast is against Cincinnati on Jan. 20 on ESPN2 and the second matchup with Seton Hall on Jan. 28, will be on either ESPN or ESPN2.

USF heads to Louisville for the Wednesday night BIG EAST opener against the '09 conference champs Cards before returning to the Sun Dome to open the home conference schedule against Notre Dame. The Bulls and the Irish, who reached the 2009 NIT semifinals, tangle again on Feb. 7.

The Bulls then go on the road to last season's BIG EAST runner up Syracuse on Jan. 10, and then return home to host games against West Virginia on Jan. 13 and Rutgers on Jan. 16, which will a double-header with the USF women's team.

USF then travels to Cincinnati on Jan. 20 for their first scheduled nationally TV broadcast, then USF travels to Providence on Jan. 23. The bulls play both the Bearcats and Friars twice.

The Bulls then host Seton Hall on Jan. 28 for their second nationally televised game on either ESPN or ESPN2 and then host Pittsburgh on Jan. 31.

In February, the Bulls have three consecutive road games, starting with Georgetown on Feb. 3, and Notre Dame on Feb. 7, and matchup with Marquette, who the Bulls defeated last year as the No. 8 team 57-56 at the Sun Dome on Feb. 13,.

USF then host two home games against Cincinnati on Feb. 16, and then USF hosts St. John's on Saturday, Feb. 20, which will be a double-header with the USF women's basketball team.

The Bulls then traveling to Villanova, who made it to the final four last year, then host Providence, before going on the road against DePaul, and return to the Sun Dome against UConn, who made it to the '09 final four to wrap up the season.
