Game Balls: Offense

B.J. Daniels

The redshirt freshman making his first career start in his hometown of Tally, accounted for 341 of the Bulls' 368 yards of total offense.  He threw for 215 yards and two passing touchdowns, including two completions for 70-plus yards.  Daniels also ran for 126 yards, becoming the first quarterback since 1986 to run for 100 yards against the Seminoles


Jason Pierre-Paul

The BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week,  who was playing in just his fourth game for USF had four tackles, three tackles for loss and a pivotal fourth-quarter strip sack after a turnover that helped USF secure a 17-7 win. JPP was a force to be reckoned with all day long.


Craig Marshall

The junior DL had 2 huge sacks and a fumble recovery, and played lights out. The first sack came with a 14-0 lead and FSU with a 1st and goal from the 7, for a loss of 10-yards. The second sack came when he hurdled a lineman on 4th and 3 with FSU on the USF 48 with just under 3-minutes remaining and the score 17-7.


Sabbath Joseph

The junior LB had his best day as a Bull. He forced a fumble on the eight yard line in the second quarter, and finished with 7 tackles, 6 solo, 1 sack. He also forced another fumble that FSU recovered, and had a pass break-up.


USF Coaching Staff

The entire coaching staff deserves game balls for this one; Leavitt, Tresey, Canales, Patrick, Blackwell, Simmonds, Scott, McGeoghan, Franks, Bird, and all the GA's had the team prepared to play, and it showed. Considering where the game was played, they did a remarkable job.

Helmet Decals: Defense

The USF defense limited the Seminoles to 19 rushing yards and just 288 total yards, while registering five forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, 12 tackles for loss and five sacks to help the Bulls remain unbeaten.

Kion Wilson -The senior LB returned from the locker room and had a fumble recovery that he took for a 19-yard gain, and forced a fumble, killing a FSU drive..
George Selvie -  The Senior DE had 1 sack, a fumble recovery, four solo tackles, 2 TFL's, and a QB hit.
Nate Allen -  The senior FS  recovered a fumble and had 3 tackles, 1 TFL, and two pass break-ups
Jerome Murphy -  The senior DB  led the team with 9 tackles, 7 solo, and laid some monster hits.
Aaron Harris - The senior DL  had a sack, and two tackles, the sack led to a missed 44-yard FG
Sam Barrington -The true Freshman LB  came up huge on the goal line stand with Kion & C-Rob out, finishing with 4 tackles.
Terrell McClain -  The junior DT had 4 tackles and one for a loss

Helmet Decals: Offense

The Offensive line - With all the question marks entering the season about the line, they played a very solid game, allowing time for B.J. to find his receivers in route to a 14-0 lead, and only allowed 2-sacks
Sterling Griffin -The True freshman WR Sterling caught a 73-yard pass from Daniels for his first-career TD reception
Theo Wilson - The senior WR caught a Daniels' 77 yard pass, the longest play of the season.

Ben Busbee - The senior TE  scored on an 8-yard pass for the first touchdown of the day, the catch is his second TD of the season.

Mike Ford - The junior RB only had 8 rushes for 25 yards, but had a solid effort blocking and blew up a few LB's.

A.J. Love - The junior WR  only made one catch but it was a great one-handed catch for 23-yards

Colby Erskin The junior WR  returned from two knee surgeries, making a 8-yard catch and just missing on a long bomb


 Helmet Decals: special Teams 

Delbert Alvarado -The senior P/K  hit a 57-yard punt from the end zone, his longest of the season. His career long is 61 yards. He also had a big saving tackle on PR Greg Reid
