Bulls Get Commit From One of the States Best

After landing two commits this weekend the Bulls have received another commitment from one of the state's best.

This week 3-star Miami Central quarterback Jeffrey Godfrey received a visit from USF coach Larry Scott and today he pledged his services to play at USF at the next level.

"Coach Scott sat down with my mom and my family, and the visit went great," said Godfrey. "I made up my mind and I'm going to I'm going to be a Bull!"

The No. 23rd ranked QB Godfrey had plenty of big time offers from schools like Michigan, Florida State, USF, Miami, Tennessee, Ohio State, Georgia, S. Carolina, Oregon and West Virginia among others. With a slew of big time offers, Godfrey was only considering schools that give him the opportunity to play quarterback.

"I really like the focus on academics as part of the big picture; it's not just about football. They have great coaches and how they communicate with me. I like everything about them."

Godfrey has been one of the state's most productive quarterbacks over the last two seasons and is considered one of the top quarterbacks in Florida for the 2010 class. As a junior the Miami-Central standout led his team to the second round of the 6A playoffs, as he threw for 2,126 and 26 touchdowns with only 5 interceptions. During his senior year Godfrey had over 3,000 yards and 43 TD's breaking the Dade county record set by Jacory Harris.

"I've done a very good job running the spread at my school, and South Florida's offense is similar, so I think I'll do a great job in that offense."

Godfrey is teammates with WR Josh Reese, RB Brandon Gainer, and OL Jose Jose, all are hot prospects.
