While I was at the Pinellas All-Star Football Classic Wednesday I saw a familiar face in the stands, Adaris Bellamy, the Heralded running back out of Dunedin, who signed with USF but attended Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia this fall.

"My time at Fork Union was good. I met a lot of good guys,' said Adaris. "My playing time wasn't what I expected but I understand that I was already signed and they were trying to get other guys exposed."

The 5'9-215 pound back wasn't expected to be finished until the end of the year at the earliest, but Adaris said he's finished sooner than expected. Saying that he finished last Thursday and got back in town Friday the 10th.

"Yes sir, I'm actually waiting for my test scores to come back in right now," said Bellamy. "I scored a 19 on the ACT and my GPA jumped to a 2.56 I think or a 2.53. Now I'm waiting to see what the clearing house does with that."

"Now I'm just waiting to get cleared," said Bellamy."If everything goes according to planned, I'll be at South Florida in January."

While at Fork union Adaris said it was good playing against other college teams, and said he changed a lot over the year.

"I've changed a lot. They way I run the ball, learning how to move my feet more and not to slow down as I get tackled. It's a whole new game. I'm not playing against kids that I can just pick apart."

"Also being a military school and being regimented, it helped me get me ready mentally. It was getting up at 6m and in bed by 10, and the whole focus was on school."

Most didn't expect Bellamy to finish so soon, including Adaris.

"It was kind of a dark cloud for me, and I went in with a sour attitude, but as I was there I realized I wasn't going anywhere so I decided to do what I had to do, and that was something I didn't do in high school, and that was to knuckle down with the books and really get to work. I did what I was supposed to do, and actually got done early"

There's no question the USF staff didn't expect Adaris to be finished so soon, so how does that affect Bellamy's immediate future?
