While most schools spend January focusing on closing out the 2010 recruiting class, South Florida has been also dealing with hiring a new coach, putting together a staff, and performing damage control to preserve the 2010 recruiting class. Read on for the state of the union with USF recruiting

It's well known that USF Head football coach Jim Leavitt was let go by the university, and Skip Holtz has taking over the reins. Five members of the USF staff were let go and five new assistants have been brought in. Ushering in a new era for USF football.

Coaching changes happen all the time, but the timing of a coaching change couldn't be any worse in terms of recruiting. With just a few weeks before national signing day Feb. 3, the Bulls have their work cut out for them.
