4-Star DB Mitchell Flips from FSU to USF

Hillsborough's 4-star cornerback Terrence Mitchell switches his commits from FSU to USF

Terrence Mitchell, the Hillsborough 4-star defensive back High has switched his verbal commitment from Florida State to South Florida Friday afternoon.

USFN heard rumors earlier in the week and last night hat cornerback Terrence Mitchell could be making a switch after committing to Florida State Earlier.

The rumors were all over the internet early this morning, and now it has been confirmed that T-Rex is now a Bull.

T-Rex has always considered the Bulls as one of his top choices and narrowed it down to USF, FSU and Illinois before committing to FSU early in the month. Mitchell always talked about playing close to home and having an opportunity to play with his cousin, Bulls running back Lindsay Lamar, who also played at Hillsborough. However the dismissal of Coach Jim Leavitt and the uncertainty that followed helped give the edge to the Seminoles.

Coach Larry Scott and new USF Head coach Skip Holtz and never gave up on the Hillsborough standout, and the hard work and effort paid off. Coach Larry Scott was instrumental in landing Mitchells cousin Lindsay Lamar, and forged a great relationship with T-Rex as well.
