USFNation.com has learned that Jamius Gunsby has made a commitment to play for USf following his campus visit this past weekend.
Gunsby is a 6'4-220 pound quarterback from LaGrange HS. He has the body to play several college positions, but is first coming in as a QB. Gunsby had to fight through an ankle injury this year holding his numbers down, but still led LaGrange into the playoffs, with an 8-3 record. Jamius threw for 656 yards, 10 touchdowns and four interceptions on 42 completions and 83 attempts. He also carried the ball 54 times for 351 yards and seven touchdowns.
The 6'46, 220-lb Gunsby had offers from Kentucky and Troy, and also claimed an offer from UF, but it may not have been a firm offer. He was recruited by Skip Holtz when the head coach was still at ECU
