Over 40 NFL scouts and coaches including representatives from just about every NFL team were in attendance. Some of the coaches doing the evaluating were Tom Coughlin of the New York Giants, Marvin Lewis of the Cincinnati Bengals, Lovie Smith of the Chicago Bears, Browns defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, and Doug Williams of the Buccaneers.

They descended on the campus of USF to attended the 2010 USF Pro timing day and further evaluate DE Jason Pierre-Paul, DE George Selvie, S Nate Allen, WR Carlton Mitchell, CB Jerome Murphy, and LB Kion Wilson, who all attended the NFL combine in Indianapolis, and should be drafted in April.

Also trying to catch the eye of pro scouts were 16 former Bulls including QB Matt Grothe, who worked out in front of an audience for the first time since injuring his knee last season. P Delbert Alvarado, WR Dexter Baldwin, TE Ben Busbee, DL Aaron Harris, WR Jessie Hester, CB Cameron Perkins, LB Chris Robinson, and WR Theo Wilson. All are hoping to make an impression and make it to the next level.

Several Bulls from a few years back also worked out S, Louis Gachette, OL Matt Huners, DE Jarriett Buie, TE Cedric Hill, and S Carlton Williams.

Before the players hit the field, they were weighed and measured and tested on vertical jump, broad jump, and bench press, and then hit the soccer field where they were tested on the 40 yard dash, 3-cone, and the short and long shuttle, then worked out for the scouts in position drills.

Jason Pierre-Paul didn't run the 40 at pro day, but posted a 9'9 broad jump and a 31.5 vertical.

Nate Allen who didn't work out at the combine due to a leg strain didn't run the 40 at USF pro day, but worked out in position drills and was the top performer in three categories, with a vertical jump of 34.5, 3-cone of 6.46, 4.22 in the 20-shuttle, and an 11.41 in the 60-shuttle. He didn't do the bench and used his combine number of 16 reps

Carlton Mitchell improved his 40 time by a tenth of a second to a 4.40, the best time on the field, and did well in position drills.

Jerome Murphy also increased his 40-yard times from the NFL Combine to a 4.51.

Kion Wilson improved in most areas including a 40-time of 4.84, and in the shuttles.

Matt Grothe posted 4.82 in the 40 and had a 32 inch vertical jump, and looked sharp passing in his debut back.
