Stephenson RB Davis Talks USF Visit

Stone Mountain (GA) running back Willie Davis from football powerhouse Stephenson HS wanted to check out the schools he's interested in, and this weekend Davis made a trip to Tampa with his uncle and teammate Kadetrix Marcus to check out the Bulls.

"It was really nice, I really liked the campus, the facilities, and what they have to offer me," said Davis. "I was able to get a feel for how the campus rolls down here. I really liked it, it was real pleasing."

Davis was also very impressed with the Bulls facilities and weight room.

"They got some of the top of the line things down here," said Davis. "Things that I haven't seen at any other program yet."

During the trip Davis got to hang out with the players, including QB B.J. Daniels and incoming freshman terrence Mitchell, and also got to watch a bit of the Bulls 7on7 Sling & shoot passing tourney.

The Georgia running back already has a relationship with Coach Phil McGeoghan, saying "Every time I'm around coach McGeoghan I have a good time," But this time got to meet the rest of the staff including Skip Holtz and came away impressed.

"I like him," said Davis. "It's just his presence, he feels like a coach that you can approach."

Besides an offer from the Bulls, the 5'10, 190 pound Davis currently holds 8 offers from schools like West Virginia, Connecticut, Louisville, Memphis, Vanderbilt, and Tulane, and hears from a host of others.

"USF is right there at the top of the list," said Davis. "I'll definitely be back."
