"It was a real good visit, and it's going to help me narrow down my list over the next few weeks," said Marcus. "It was real nice to see how everything was and to get a good feel for the school, because I like them a lot. Now I got to see it in person, and I really liked the school."
"Everything was nice and it's a nice city. They're doing a lot of rebuilding and transitions and the weight room is real nice and top of the line. They have a nice training area and things like that. It's all real nice."
"Coach Smith is a cool coach, and I like him and know he has a lot of knowledge of the game, we talked about the depth charts, coverage's and things like that" said Marcus. "I shared some words with Coach Holtz, and it was real good, he has good goals."
Marcus also got to watch some of the Bulls 7on7 Sling & Shoot tourney and got to hang out with the players during the sling and shoot tourney, including incoming freshman Terrence Mitchell.
"I got to hang out with the safety/corner Terrence Mitchell," said Marcus. "We talked about how he chose South Florida over some bigger schools, what made the difference for him, recruiting and stuff like that."
Besides an offer from the Bulls, the 6'1, 191 pound DB currently holds over 20 or more offers including Clemson, West Virginia, Michigan State, Illinois, Ole Miss, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Stanford, South Carolina, Connecticut, Duke, and a bunch of others. Did the weekend visit help the Bulls stock in making his cut?
"Yes sir it really did, I like USF a lot," said Marcus. "It's an up-and-coming program. They haven't been around so long and they are already improving. The new head coach has had a lot of success, and Coach Smith who came along with him has had a lot of success coaching defensive backs, and pretty much everything here is nice."
