It was one of the biggest games in the state of California this past weekend. Junipero Serra and SMU quarterback commitment Conner Preston versus Nathaniel Narbonne HS and SMU offensive guard Dontae Levingston.

"There was like 8,000 people there, the atmosphere was crazy. Everyone was pumped up. They were talking a lot crap, but we dropped them," said Preston to PonyStampede.com. "It was 34-0 at halftime. The final score was 48-22. I had a total of four touchdowns and 300 yards."

Preston, who has been one of the biggest cheerleaders for SMU with Levingston, was able to evaluate the 3-star guard in the fourth quarter.

"He's really big. He had some really good plays. He stayed in there the whole time," said Preston. "We've talked a lot lately. Our first four games have been at different times, so he's been able to make it to two of my games and I went to one of his. We've especially talked a lot last week."

Levingston will be making the trip to Dallas sometime during the year with Preston.

"I'm constantly telling him all the reasons why he should be a Mustang and why I want to play with him for four years," said the quarterback.

Though five games, Preston has impressed. He's 52-for-81, throwing for 1322 yards and 14 touchdowns. He's been pulled early in every contest.

"I feel like my play on the field has risen to a new level and it's exciting to get the opportunity to showcase myself every Friday night," said Preston. "It took a few games, but I think we're really starting to take off....coming off a perfect season last year we're doing all we can to stay undefeated and take it all again."
