Holleman visited his home town school this weekend and early reports had pegged the senior for switching his commitment. But, after a few hours or internet speculation, PonyStampede.com sources told us he was sticking with SMU. Now we have heard from Holleman.
"I just wanted you to know that I'm staying committed to SMU," said Holleman. "It was a hard decision, but in the end SMU is the better fit for me. They welcomed me with open arms when I committed and I just wanted to call them to tell them that I'm sticking with them.
"I'm 100% committed. I'm done. I hope that Texas Tech stops recruiting me. If they keep doing recruiting me, I'm just going to give them the cold shoulder."
In the end, it was a meeting between SMU offensive line Adrian Klemm, Arrius, and Arrius' father over the phone that killed any chance of Holleman committing to Tech. After obtaining verbals from highly rated prospects all over the country, Klemm now has a closer tag.
Holleman is currently rated the No. 180 receiver in the country and is a 2-star receiver. He currently is 6-foot-3 and 170 pounds.
