SMU has informed 3-star Euless Trinity linebacker Jonathan Yenga that he has been cleared and they will be accepting his commitment and letter of intent on Wednesday.
"Going to be a Mustang. They accepted me. Thank you Jesus," said Yenga in a Facebook message to PonyStampede.com. We will be looking to talk with Yenga in more detail on Sunday afternoon.
Earlier this week Yenga had told Scout.com that he had decided to go to SMU over Arizona this next fall, but a test score was holding up whether he would be accepted into SMU.
Yenga at the time reported Coach June Jones would be letting him known on Saturday the final verdict. Jones apparently did on Saturday night.
Yenga currently ranks at the No. 41 outside linebacker nationally and is part of the Scout.com Texas Top 100.
The 2011 commitments brother just wrapped up a college career at SMU where he was a three-year starting outside linebacker.
