Reports: SMU offers Illinois QB

Reports indicate that SMU has targeted it's first 2012 quarterback, attending a scholarship offer to an Illinois product. Come inside to learn more.

Reports from various Illinois newspapers have indicated that SMU has extended a scholarship offer to 2012 quarterback Wes Lunt. The Rochester junior quarterback also has offers from Boston College and Illinois.

Lunt passed for over 3000 yards and thirty touchdowns last season as a junior, only throwing four interceptions. He led Rochester to a perfect season and a Class 4A state championship.

The 6-foot-3 gunslinger replaced Purdue's Sean Robinson as the starter this season for the Rockets.
