Replacement for Klemm?

A sports talk radio station in Houston says Cougars offensive coordinator Jason Phillips is headed to SMU. Have the Mustangs found their replacement for Adrian Klemm?

Houston interim head football coach Tony Levine was introduced as the new full time replacement for Kevin Sumlin, who recently left the program for Texas A&M, on Thursday.

With Sumlin leaving and Levine taking over, some current staff members are looking for other opportunities. One of which is offensive coordinator Jason Phillips.

The Big Show on sports talk radio 790 in Houston noted that they think Phillips is headed to SMU "for the same position" he had with the Cougars.

SMU doesn't have an offensive coordinator per se as June Jones calls the plays, so it seems unlikely that Phillips will come in and assume his same job. He also coached the receivers at Houston, but SMU has Jeff Reinebold.

It's unknown at the moment, but maybe Phillips joins the Mustangs staff as a replacement for Adrian Klemm, the former offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator. Phillips is a proven recruiter in the state of Texas.
