Denton Ryan (TX) wide receiver Craig Moore says there is definitely a school that is leading the pack for his commitment.
"LSU," Moore said when asked who was first on his list of offers. "I'm actually going out there this Saturday."
Moore, who also holds offers from SMU, Baylor, Oklahoma State and a few other Division I programs, hasn't showed a great deal of interest in SMU thus far but does plan to visit in the coming months.
"I've been thinking about visiting this summer or sometime soon," Moore said.
Moore has been a courted recruit because of his great speed and versatility. Moore has been timed at 4.43 in the 40-yard-dash and has experience playing on both sides of the ball.
"Receiver and DB. I started at both," Moore responded when asked which positions he'd most like to play at the collegiate level.
Out of the two, Moore says he has no preference.
"Honestly it doesn't matter to me," he said. "I'm pretty good at both."
Moore, who hails from Denton, was in contact with SMU receivers coach Jason Phillips back in April but hasn't communicated with him recently. When asked his thoughts about the Hilltop and the things he liked about it, Moore simply responded by saying ‘it's in Dallas.'
Aside from SMU, a trip to Oregon seems to be the only other place Moore plans to visit. He also says that he isn't really waiting for any other offers to be sent his way.
"The schools that I really wanted to go to have already offered me," Moore said.
Recently, Moore has picked up two more offers from Arizona and Arizona State
Moore, who is listed as a two-star recruit, says he thinks he can compete for a Texas state championship in his senior season.
"I think we have a great chance to go to state," he said.
