Three-star OL cancels SMU visit

Kyle Schafenacker was set to visit SMU next weekend. Why did he decide to cancel his trip?

St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) guard Kyle Schafenacker was ecstatic about visiting SMU on July 27 but unfortunately, will no longer be flying to Dallas.

Schafenacker recently got in contact with the SMU coaching staff to confirm the details of his unofficial visit but was informed that SMU was full at his position.

"No, I won't be going to SMU," Schafenacker texted. "They told me they already have the four offensive line commits they needed."

All four of those lineman play guard, leaving no room for Schafenacker. The three-star prospect had SMU in his top three along with Uconn and Cincinnati. But Marshall has now replaced SMU.

When asked if he would still be interested if someone were to decommit, he simply responded by saying 'yes.'
