Practice Observations

- Darius Johnson was running on the sideline with his helmet on throughout practice and did some cone drills but did not run routes. June Jones said he should be back by possibly tomorrow.

- Stephen Nelson also did some running and no longer has a cast on his wrist

- With Taylor Reed out due to some 'nicks and bruises' Kevin Pope got a lot of work in

- Jordan Free had a boot on his leg but June Jones said 'he should be ready to play'

- With Free out, Sam Rice and Ashton Duhe worked with the first team line

- Ben Gottschalk and Margus Hunt were full participants in today's practice

- The receivers worked a lot on deep balls today. Ryan Walker started last game but was less than impressive. Today he kept hesitating and slowing down on causing quarterbacks to overthrow him on verticals

- Darius Joseph got a lot first team reps in the slot with Darius Johnson still getting healthy

- Joseph was impressive and caught a nice deep ball from Garrett Gilbert

- Arrius Holleman has been reduced to a scout team receiver and did not work with the second team today. Instead, Austin Fuller lined up out wide

- Kyle Guinyard made the catch of the day when he climbed the ladder and brought down a very high thrown Garrett Kristich ball

- One player that continues to get in the rotation at defensive end is redshirt freshman walk-on Andrew McCleneghen. Expect to continue seeing him in games

- After practice, a few of the players stayed behind a did log rolls. Bobby Waid suffered the most and threw up
