Football Practice Notebook (3/31)

Scott was out at practice this morning and has some notes so come inside to check them out!

Quick Hits:

-It was more of a mellow practice today.

-Neal Burcham took first team snaps and Connor Preston was backing him up. The QBs once again struggled to hit their receivers down field.

-Burcham did however complete one very nice pass to Der'rikk Thompson down the sideline and over two defenders.

-The defense again was playing aggressive and suffocating.

-Jackson Mitchell was in the backfield constantly. He has had a very impressive spring thus far.

-Beau Barnes looked good during 7 on 7s when he was dropping into pass coverage. He got good depth on his drops into coverage and moved well.

-Taylor Lasecki played a good amount of guard while William Barns was at center. Barns tools reps at center with both the first and second teams.

-During the team's two-minute drill everyone was loud and hitting hard. The offense slowly but surely moved the ball down the field.

-You can see Burcham has the best chemistry with Darius Joseph and Der'rikk Thompson, But Jeremiah Gaines is starting to get mixed into that rotation.

-The offensive line struggled to pick up blitzing linebackers.
