Billy was at SMU football practice today and has notes plus interviews with Ajee Montes and Jordan Severt.

Ajee Montes Q&A

Jordan Severt Q&A

Practice Notes:

- The defense looked like it was practicing against Baylor looks today. Lot of screens by the scout team offense.

- Robert Seals was making the right reads against the screens.

- Although the scout team quarterbacks weren't overly effective, the defense snagged a few INTs.

- Shelby Walker had a great sideline catch with Trey Washington covering. Kolney Cassel threw him open by putting the ball where only Walker could get it.

- Courtland Sutton really looks the part. His wingspan looks like he'll grow to 6-8.

- Matt Davis had his best day of camp. He was slinging it deep and putting everything on target.

- It was a much more spirited practice out there today with each side cheering each other on. There was good pace and energy all around.

- You can tell Randall Joyner misses being out there. He's just as vocal as he was when he was a player.

- William Jeanlys really looked fluid out there in coverage.
