Several weeks ago, a group of Oklahoma athletes ventured over to the Hilltop for an unofficial visit.
“It went well,” Bundage said. “There was a lot of cool stuff, I had fun. It was really nice and I enjoyed it. It definitely provides good education and I liked the football program and the coaches too. So I’ve been talking to the coaching staff a bit.”
“I plan on visiting a couple more schools before the offseason is over,” Bundage said. “But, I’m just going along for the rise right now; I’m not leaning towards anyone.“
Bundage expects SMU to offer him soon- partly because of how his visit went, and partly because he is close friends and classmates with 2016 DB Delwin Richard, who SMU has expressed interest in as well.
“We are like brothers,” Bundage said. “So if we could go to the same college together that’d be great. He has an interest in SMU. We are both pretty even about how we feel about the school. We are just going to weigh out all the options before we choose.”
The 6’3” 190 pound safety is certainly keeping from leaning towards any program, but he acknowledges the appeal of SMU now that Chad Morris has taken over the head coaching position.
“I feel like it was a good move.” Bundage said. “He will bring a lot of good players and take the program to the next level.”
