Billy reacts to SMU's win over UCF this afternoon.

How it Happened

SMU started off strong and was able to pull away for the win in Orlando with a big day from Nic Moore. Moore led SMU from beyond the arc and that freed up Ben Moore, Markus Kennedy, Yanick Moreira and Cannen Cunningham to combine for 32 points and 21 rebounds. SMU did a great job of sharing the ball with 19 assists from the team and cut down on the turnovers in the second half to finish with 13 on the day.

What it Means

SMU got their first road win in AAC play on the year and moves to 5-1 with Markus Kennedy. The team put the pedal down late in the second half after faltering near the end of the first to get the win.

Player of the Game

Nic Moore: While Moore did get in a little bit of foul trouble, he led SMU with 21 points including five three-point baskets. Moore also added four assists on a day SMU shared the ball extremely well.

Side Note

SMU forced UCF to take a lot of shots from beyond the arc, but their defense on three-point attempts was great. The Mustangs held UCF to 28 percent from three-point land.
