How it Happened
SMU had a tough time defending the defensive glass in the first half and gave up too many threes even with Houston not shooting particularly well. SMU did however get a team effort on the score sheet with SMU getting production from all over the roster. SMU came out red hot in the second half and Houston just couldn’t keep up. The team play led SMU to pulling away in the second half to get the win on the road. SMU did have a scare as Houston closed the lead to four points at the Under-4 timeout, SMU was able to finish. SMU didn’t get a huge first half from Nic Moore again, but he ran the offense well and stepped up with some big baskets in the second half to keep the Houston comeback at bay.

Player of the Game
Ryan Manuel: Manuel set the tone on defense, on offense and for the team overall tonight. Manuel is becoming one of the key leaders on this team and his play showed it with his 10 points and four assists.
SMU had three players in double figures and good production from the entire roster. Has to be a great sign heading down the stretch to get that production from the team down the stretch.
