SMU head coach Larry Brown Q&A
SMU F Yanick Moreira Q&A
SMU G Sterling Brown Q&A
SMU G Ryan Manuel Q&A
On the press, coach Brown was trying to get his team to have better spacing on the press break, as well as, in their half court offense. The coaching staff was pleased with the execution of the press break although it was being done at a slower pace.
Coming off three straight days of games, today’s practice was intense but also involved a lot of teaching. Much of practice was against no defense with the focus being on execution and getting in the right spots.
Although it was a slower pace, Sterling Brown had a good day of practice grasping all that coach Brown was talking about. Throughout practice, Brown also brought energy and a little bit of noise to practice encouraging the rest of the guys.

— Sterling Brown on taking care of business themselves- “Felt good, you know coach Brown has been preaching it all year that we don’t want anybody else to dictate our fate and we just went out there and did it”
—Ryan Manuel on the emotions of the win against Tulsa with the win against UConn- “This one was a little bit sweeter than the last one you know, since we won at UConn which was a tough defeat for us, it just feels good to get the win at UConn and make it to the NCAA tournament.”
