SENIOR YEAR STATS: 54 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 1 interception
SIDE NOTE: Clark is really into fashion and considers himself a fashion expert. He said he shops the most at H&M.
AUDIBLE: “It’s great, I’m finally able to say I’m for sure going to a school. Now I just need to be able to work on what I need to work on when I get there. We’ll be there May 31 to start classes, so I have to prepare my mind for that.”

How Clark fits

The SMU coaches like versatile defensive backs, and that’s what Clark is. He can play either safety spot and is solid against the run and pass. He lines up both as a deep safety and near the line of scrimmage.

What Clark brings

Technique. Clark’s tackling form and coverage skills are pretty consistent. He tackles low and puts himself in good position to make a play on the ball, even if he isn’t able to locate it. He can change direction well and isn’t afraid of meeting runners right at the point of attack, although he can give up a little ground as he is making the tackle

What to Expect Freshman Year

Another player who could use a big summer in the weight room, Clark has a fairly good chance of playing next year, even if it’s only on special teams.

Career Expectations for Clark

A likely starter at safety. His cornerback background and production vs. the run will allow him to play at both safety spots throughout his college career. Strong safety may be a slightly better fit.
