PonyStampede breaks down the September recruiting activity in the American Athletic Conference.

Months during the season are usually slower, and September was no exception. Only six total players committed to four total AAC schools. Here is where the classes stand.

Navy Midshipmen: 36 known commitments

Top-rated player: Bowling Green (Ky.) three-star RB Jamale Carothers, Scout’s 47th-ranked RB and top-ranked in Kentucky.

Fagot is the second player from Florida to commit to the Midshipmen this cycle. His offer list includes Army, Central Michigan, Connecticut, Florida Atlantic, Illinois, Middle Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Southern Miss, Syracuse, Toledo, Tulane, UCF, Utah State, Western Kentucky and Western Michigan.

Memphis Tigers: 24 commitments

Top-rated player: Nashville (Tenn.) Davison Academy four-star OT Obinna Eze, the No. 210 overall player in the nation and Scout's 23rd-ranked OT.

Notes:

Memphis picked up one Mississippi player and lost another. Dale picked Memphis on Sept. 25 over offers from Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State, Southern Miss and Tulane. His commitment gives the Tigers five players who held SEC offers. Goodson decommitted on Oct. 4.

Houston Cougars: 20 commitments

Top-rated player: Plano West (Texas) four-star ILB Mohamed Sanogo , the No. 299 overall player in the nation and Scout’s 10th-ranked ILB.
