SMU is hosting one of its top targets for a visit starting Thursday.
Former Duquesne forward Isiaha Mike will start an official visit to SMU on Thursday, according to a report from Elias Sbiet of North Pole Hoops. Mike must sit out the 2017-18 season if he transfers to another Division I school, according to NCAA rules. He has three years of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-8, 200-pound Mike averaged 11.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game as a freshman at Duquesne in 2016-17. He shot 43 percent from the field and 33 percent from 3-point range.
Mike is a Toronto-area native who played high school basketball at Trinity International School in Las Vegas. North Pole Hoops ranked him as the third-best prospect from Canada in the class of 2016.
Mike is also considering a visit to Oregon.
