One of the state's top offensive linemen is visiting campuses and awaiting his first offer.
Clearcreek High School big man Jared Biard has spent his spring checking out college campuses in search of finding the right school for his college career.
The 6-foot-7, 290-pound offensive tackle who runs a 5.3 forty, recently attended the SMU junior day held last month.
"It was pretty cool," Biard told PonyStampede.com Thursday. "SMU's campus is really nice. It's like a small college right smack in the middle of a big city and I like that."
Biard got a chance to check out the Mustang Athletic facilities first hand and came away very impressed.
"I toured the football facilities and I love the underground weight room," Biard said. "I really enjoyed watching the spring practice. I love their offensive system."
While Biard didn't get a chance to sit down and visit with Coach June Jones one on one, he did get to visit with a couple of the assistant coaches.
"Coach Jones spoke to us as a group. He seems to be a really great guy," Biard noted. "I look forward to getting to know him in the future."
"Nebraska , UH, Arizona and OSU are recruiting me the hardest right now," Biard said. "OSU is probably the early favorite since both of my parents went to school there."
Biard earned honorable mention all-district honors for his Clearcreek team. He currently holds a 3.5 G.P.A and will take the SAT for the first time this Saturday.
