One Texas high school prospect put it quite simply.

"June Jones is bringing a lot of life to the SMU football program," Stefan Huber told PonyStampede.com Monday night. "I'm confident he will bring the SMU football program back to like it use to be."

Huber, a 6-foot-5, 280-pound offensive lineman that runs a 5.2 forty, recently picked up an offer from SMU.

"It's very exciting," Huber said. "I have a lot of interest in SMU, they one of my top schools. I will go to camp there next month."

Huber, who earned all district honors for his Nederland High School team, also has an offer from Army.

Huber got a chance to check out things on the Hilltop in person last month, when the standout lineman participated in SMU's Junior Day.

"It was great," Huber said. "I thought it was a very nice campus. I had a great time. It was great getting a chance to meet their coaches and watch the team practice."

The new SMU coaching staff left a lasting impression on Huber.

"They seem to be a top of the line coaching staff," Huber said. "Coach Jones brought in a very experienced coaching staff."

While Huber list SMU as one of his favorites, two other schools that intrigue him are Texas A&M and Arizona.

"A&M and Arizona are showing me a lot of interest right now," Huber said. "I will end up going to the school that I fit in the best at."

Huber has already scored a 1570 on the SAT and has a 3.3 G.P.A.

Huber helped led his team to a 7-3 record last fall and is hoping for a better season this fall.

"We just barely missed the playoffs," Huber said. "Hopefully we will get over that hump this fall."
