SMU gets second pledge of 2009

Southern Methodist University picked up its second commitment of the year for the recruiting Class of 2009. Abilene Cooper's Brandon Henderson committed to the Mustangs Wednesday afternoon after receiving an official offer from the SMU coaching staff.

Abilene Cooper's Brandon Henderson committed to the Mustangs Wednesday afternoon after receiving an official offer from the SMU coaching staff.

"Yes Brandon has committed to SMU," an athletic department spokesperson at Cooper High confirmed. "SMU got a great one."

Henderson, a three star prospect by Scout.com, is listed at 6-foot-3, 230-pounds and is expected to play on the defensive front for SMU.

Henderson finished his junior season with over 50 tackles, 14 sacks and 30 quarterback hurries.
