June Jones received his fourth and fifth pledges for his 2009 Class Sunday afternoon when Aledo's offensive lineman Christian Miller made his pledge to the Mustangs shortly after Chris Frazier made his.

Miller apparently decided on the Mustangs Thursday night, but made his announcement official after camp Sunday.

"Yes Christian has committed to SMU," said his father Paul Miller. "Christian loves SMU, he loves the new coaching staff, this was an easy decision for him.

Miller currently has a brother attending SMU that will be a junior this fall, his uncle David and grandmother all attended school on the Hilltop.

"I have probably been to every home game for the last eight years," Miller told PonyStampede.com. "When SMU offered me recently, I thought wow this is exciting. This is something I have always wanted."

Miller when reached was very excited about his decision.

"I can't tell you how good it feels," Miller told PonyStampede.com Sunday afternoon. "SMU is where I have always wanted to play. Coach Jones is doing great things here and I'm excited about being a part of it."

Miller has been impressed and excited about the arrival of June Jones at SMU.

"I feel very good about Coach Jones taking over here at SMU," Miller said. "I feel that he will turn around this program around just like he did at Hawaii. He has assembled a first class coaching staff, this is a team I could see being a part of."

Miller has had a chance to meet Coach Jones first hand on several occasions.

"He is so excited about being at SMU," Miller said. "He is a great guy, I got a chance to work with Coach McKnight during this camp and it was great, I look forward to being coached by him."
