Marrero's John Ehret High School is known for producing Division 1 talent, this year is no exception.

Middle linebacker Lamin Barrow currently has five official offers, including one from SMU. Other offers include Ole Miss, Louisiana Tech, ULM and South Alabama.

"SMU has offered me," Barrow told PonyStampede.com Saturday afternoon. "I don't know much about them yet. I know that they have a new head coach in June Jones. Coach Jones did great things at Hawaii."

Barrow plans on taking unofficial visits to SMU, Kansas State, Ole Miss and LSU over the next couple of weeks. He also plans on attending Ole Miss senior day camp next month and recently attended a one day camp for Southern Mississippi.

"Right now I don't have a favorite," Barrow stated. "I'm taking everything in stride and will visit a few more schools before making a decision."

Barrow, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound linebacker that runs a 4.65 forty, finished his junior season with over 100 tackles for the season.
