One East Texas High School prospect has been busy making his rounds to college campuses in the area.
Henderson's standout linebacker Daniel Prior has been busy lately playing football on Friday nights and watching college football on Saturday afternoons.
"I have been to Baylor, TCU and most recently this past weekend to Louisiana Tech," Prior told PonyStampede.com Monday night. "La. Tech was ok, it was a little smaller than I expected. Not as much to do in Ruston as there is to do in a place like Dallas."
One school that Prior is planning on going to a game at is SMU, while Prior realizes that the Mustangs are filling up their spots fast, he appears to still be one of the Mustangs top defensive targets.
"They are really recruiting me hard," Prior said. "They were hoping I would commit to them this summer. I realize they don't have many spots left, but they have told me I have one if I want it."
Prior hopes to go to one of the remaining Mustang's home games and is also seriously thinking about making SMU one of his official visits.
"I haven't set up any of my officials yet," Prior said. "I'm pretty sure at this point that one will be to Dallas. I love the big city, there is a lot of things to do and they have a Hooters there."
Two other schools that appear to be close to offering the standout defender are TCU and Baylor.
"They both seem close to offering," Prior said. "I'm not going to hold out and wait on anyone, when I'm sure of where is right for me, I plan on going ahead and making my decision."
According to Prior, he might not a decision until after his official visits.
"I don't plan on rushing things," Prior said. "I really want to make sure I make the right decision."
