One Southern Methodist University commitment is starting to attract more interest from college coaches across the country.
It appears for good reason, Refugio Texas is off to an 8-0 start and big offensive lineman Wayne Frazier has had a lot to do with it.
PonyStampede.com spoke to Frazier Monday night and learned that the standout lineman has recently picked up two more official offers.
When asked how he stands on his commitment to SMU, Frazier was quick to answer.
"I'm still committed to SMU," Frazier said. "I would say my commitment is pretty solid."
Frazier has been keeping in contact with the SMU coaching staff; he had a great conversation with his recruiting coach Jeff Reinebold last night.
"We had a great talk last night," Frazier said. "We have developed a great relationship with each other. SMU has been on me from day one, they were my first offer."
Frazier's Bobcat team is currently undefeated and expected to move up to the No. 1 ranking in Class AA this week.
"We are doing great," Frazier said. "We should move up to No. 1 this week, we have been the No. 2 team in the state for a while."
Frazier hasn't been able to make it the Hilltop to watch the Mustangs play this season, something he plans on doing in November.
"I plan on getting up there for one of their last home games," Frazier said. "I have been keeping up with them."
Frazier has grown a little over the fall season.
"I'm currently 6-foot-5 and weigh 309-pounds," Frazier said. "I'm not sure, but I think I will take my official visit to SMU in December"
