"Yes sir SMU is recruiting me harder than ever," Porter said. "Right now I'm planning on taking an official visit there after my season is over."

Porter, an outside linebacker who stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 205-pounds, has a lot of speed to burn, he runs a 4.5 forty.

Porter's Destrehan Louisiana team is currently 7-0, the talented defender is hoping for an undefeated season.

"We want to win it all," Porter said. "My season is going great; I'm having one of my best seasons ever."

Porter has three official offers so far, one from SMU, one from Tulane and the other from Mississippi State.

"There are a lot of schools that appear to be close to offering," Porter said. "Ole Miss has shown a lot of interest, LSU and Alabama also seem very close."

Porter has over 55 tackles on the year and two interceptions, one that he took back for a forty four yard touchdown.

"Coach (Jeff) Reinebold is recruiting me big time," Porter said. "He tells me how much they need my speed on the defensive side of the ball. They want me to come in and make an immediate impact."
