Ryan Clark was extremely excited about his commitment to SMU and his recent offer by June Jones Sunday
"Yes sir I committed to SMU," Clark told PonyStampede.com. "Right now I'm on the phone with my mom, telling her all about my visit and my decision."
Clark, who was formerly committed to Texas Tech, received an offer Sunday morning and made the decision to become a Mustang.
"He was a head coach in the NFL, and I feel like I'm an NFL defensive back," Clark told the Dallas Morning News. "I know I have a chance to come in and play football right off the bat. They've got talent and they're young."
The talented defensive back played in seven games this fall, he was slowed with an ankle injury.
He had an outstanding freshman season at Navarro Junior College, leading him to being named to the NJCAA Pre-Season All-American team.
Clark is expected to graduate from Navarro in May and will be able to enroll this summer at SMU.
