It doesn't take much to make Christian Miller excited when it comes to talking about Southern Methodist University.
The long-time Mustang fan grew up as a youngster cheering on the red and blue. Now he is about to live a life long dream. Miller recently took his official visit to the Hilltop a couple of weeks ago and had nothing but great things to say.
"I already knew everything about SMU going into the visit," Miller told PonyStampede.com. "My official visit was great, I got the chance to get to know my future teammates a lot better."
What has Miller been doing since his official visit two weeks ago?
"I'm on a personal mission to get in the best shape of my life," Miller said. "I have already lost eight pounds since my visit. They want me to lose some weight and they will replace it with muscle this summer."
Miller is working with a personal trainer and has plans on putting on some muscles before his arrival to the Hilltop in June.
"I'm running three miles a day," Miller said. "I'm very excited by the results so far."
Miller's Aledo team lost in the second round of the state playoffs to Everman.
"We had a chance," Miller said. "We led by one at the half and then we just couldn't get it going in the second half. We had a great year."
Miller is very confident about what June Jones is doing at SMU.
"There is no doubt he is the right coach to get this program turned around," Miller said. "The excitement he has already generated among the current players is incredible, I'm glad to be a part of something special."
