Since committing to Southern Methodist University back in May, James Scott of Houston Strake Jesuit has made it clear that he was a solid pledge for the Mustangs. Today he proved it to be true by signing his letter of national content.

"It feels good. There was a lot of talk and a lot of listening," said Scott. "A lot of me talking to my coach and my parents, but it is all over and it feels really good."

Now what for Scott?

"Now it's about hitting the books. I'm going to go to school and then right after work out," said Scott. "I'm going to try to be the best shape I can be when I get there July 1st."

At 6'1, 185 pounds, Scott is a Scout.com 3-star safety.
