Adcock had already visited the SMU campus a couple times for games this fall, but was back on the Hilltop this last Tuesday for an unofficial visit.
"I met with Coach McKnight and we toured and visited until the off-season conditioning practice," stated Adcock to PonyStampede.com. "I was impressed with Coach McKnight and the strength and conditioning coach, Vic Viloria. The coaches and players were very positive and the visit left a positive impression. They are very serious about turning things around."
After receiving 1st All TAPPS Division II District II team honors last year, Adcock followed it up with 1st team All-State honors this year as a junior. Adcock helped lead an offensive line that allowed the offense to put up 51 points a game and 468 yards a game to take the State Title.
At 6'3, 295 pounds, Adcock is squatting 515 pounds and just set a new school record in the dead lift with a 670 pound lift.
Adcock is a wiz in the classroom as well. Currently he has a 4.0 GPA and just scored a 1420 out of 1600 on his ACT. He plans on majoring Pre-Med or engineering in college.
