PonyStampede.com has learned that June Jones and crew have verbally offered 2011 Cedar Park linebacker Chet Moss. Moss is 6-1 and 225 pounds. He attended SMU spring practices yesterday with 2010 recruit Holmes Onwukaife. After the workouts, Moss talked with SMU defensive coach Bert Hill, and walked away with the offer!

"I wasn't expecting. It was pretty crazy," stated Moss to PonyStampede.com. "It shows me they have a lot of respect for me and I have now more respect for them. Down the line, that will help them out a lot. I think they will always be near the top of my list."

The sophomore is regarded as one of the best linebackers in the state of Texas for the 2011 recruiting class. Moss had 62 tackles and 3 sacks in his sophomore campaign. His performance on the field is getting him interest from other schools like: Texas, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma State, and Stanford. In addition to football, Moss runs the 100m and several relays for the Cedar Park track team.

PonyStampede.com did a video interview with Moss before he received an offer from SMU. We will have that video tomorrow morning after spring practice. Later in the week, we will have more of our conversation with Moss.
