UCF faces its second top 20 foe in 3 days as they travel to Austin and face the Longhorns. Texas as of now would be in the national title game versus Florida, and although both teams have obstacles to overcome in getting there, don't expect this to be more than a scrimmage for the Horns. The game isn't a total loss if the Knights play the Longhorns, it could help immensely against other C-USA teams down the road.
Florida Atlantic is currently 5th in the Sun Belt Conference. Their nickname is the Owls so maybe UAB will mistake them for Rice. Not a very good team. They go to UAB, where Mr. Everything Joe Webb will try to keep the Blazers close in C-USA East. Webb defeated UTEP by himself last week by throwing for 3 scores, running for one and catching another. If this guy were pro, he'd so be on my fantasy team.
Speaking of Rice, the Owls head down to SMU and play the resurgent Mustangs behind new QB, Kyle Padron. Padron played great last week against Tulsa, scoring a huge win and keeping SMU alive for a bowl berth and an outside chance for a C-USA title game.
Nothing helps to keep the party going like playing Rice this year, the Owls have given up an AVERAGE of 45 points a game. Padron was 20-30 for 354 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Hurricane last week. Expect more of the same.
UTEP vs Tulane.
UTEP has been wildly inconsistent all year. Taking down Houston and Tulsa only to lose to Joe Webb, er UAB last week. As a rule inconsistent teams don't do well on the road. After last week's beat down at LSU, Tulane will look to return the favor at home against the Miners.
Tennessee after almost derailing Alabama's national title hopes head home to take it out on Memphis who can't buy a win for embattled coach Tommy West. The Vols have too many athletes and too many ways to run Memphis out of Neyland Stadium.
Houston vs. Tulsa
The Cougars prolific offense visits the Hurricane, with a major bowl berth in sights. I wouldn't expect Playstation U to lose here. Case Keenum already has 25 TD's. Put him down for four more this Saturday.
