The 2011 recruiting class is heating up, with juniors across the state hitting up schools for junior days. Today, PonyStampede.com talked with Kingwood linebacker Ragan Robichaux about his recent trip to the Hilltop.

"I really like SMU's campus, the football program, there wasn't really anything to not like about it," stated Robichaux. "I'm looking for a school where I can be a part of a winning program and get a good education. The way Coach Jones is turning around that program, it's like it's a whole new team. It's in my mind it's brand new. I would like to be a part of it. It's a young team and they are doing some great things."

Earlier tonight, Robichaux had a phone conversation with Arizona offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh. The Wildcats have shown increased interest as of late, prompting the Kingwood product to visit Arizona this weekend.

"This Saturday I'm gong to fly in to Pheonix and attend Arizona's junior day on Saturday. Then, I'm going to try to maybe take a visit to SMU or A&M. I'm going to try my hardest to attend all the camps this summer," said Robichaux.

Besides for SMU and Arizona, the junior is also hearing from Texas A&M and Rice.

At 6'1, 182 pounds, Robichaux was actually an All-District defensive end for Kingwood last season. In 2009, he recorded a total of 47 tackles.
