With the offensive line needing attention in the 2011 recruiting class, look for the SMU Mustangs to take five o-lineman this season.
One they have their eyes set on is Travis high school offensive tackle Carter Wall. The 6'5, 270 pound junior has seen his recruiting from SMU spike over the last two weeks.
"I just got my film out, so today was the first time the SMU coaches got a chance to see it," said Wall to PonyStampede.com last week. "I'm going to take an unofficial there in a couple weeks."
Wall, who holds an offer from Houston, reportedly was very liked by the SMU coaching staff on film. Once given a chance to eye ball him up close and personal, there are very good chances the Mustangs pull the trigger and extend an offer to Wall.
"It's all happened really fast. But, they are definitely in my top schools list now," said Wall. "Their academics are great. I'm looking to get a good education, so I can get a job out of college. Their football team is good, so that is a plus."
"I want to make my decision before my senior year of football. I want to know by the end of my junior year where I'm going to play," said Wall.
PonyStampede.com will follow Wall's recruiting very closely and let you know if anything breaks.
