Potential D-1 players from all over the country will watch SMU on Saturday, as the Mustangs close out spring practices.

One 2011 prospect that will be in attendance is Dayton defensive tackle Darrian Wright. The junior recorded 73 tackles and seven sacks last season, with 23 tackles for loss. Dayton loss to Brenham last season for the state 4A title.

"SMU offered me on Tuesday or Wednesday. Coach Hill said they are going to send me a letter in the mail. So far, it's my only offer that I have," said Wright to on Friday. "I couldn't say how long they have been recruiting me, from what I have heard, people say it's pretty good place. I want a place where the football team is good and winning."

Don't expect a decision from Wright before the start of the season. The 6'2, 275 pound defensive tackle told that he is interested in committing after his senior season.

"I want to wait and see what comes around. I want to worry about playing right now, not really recruiting."

TCU and Baylor are the other schools that are heavily recruiting the 2011 prospect at this time.
