"The scrimmage went pretty good," said Pichon. "I did good. We have some young people who need to fill positions for us. We're looking good as a team and we'll be right back at it this year. I went both ways in the scrimmage yesterday, because we had an offensive guard who was out. I'll probably play some offensive line at times during the season too."
"Tech is a good school. They have an energetic staff and I like them. Memphis is a good school too, but I haven't been there yet. I like Coach Reinebold. He makes you want to go there to SMU. I'm also hearing from Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Tulane, Northwestern State, LSU, and Alabama.
"This summer, I'm going to visit some camps at schools and participate in summer training. I think my strengths at defensive tackle are my quick first step and my explosiveness. I probably need to work on my speed and my pad level."
Last year, Pichon and the Spartans reached the 4A semifinals before losing to district rival Franklinton. Pichon was the leader of a defense that held opponents to 14-or-fewer points in eight-of-13 games, including back-to-back shutouts in Weeks Six-and-Seven.
