Heading to SMU camp

San Antonio is Coach Hill's territory and he might have found a tall wide receiver that can catch. But first this player has to prove it at a SMU camp. Come inside for his story!

For the past two recruiting seasons, SMU fans have called for a tall wide receiver for the June Jones' run and shoot offense. Kenny Bias fits the mold. At 6'2, 175 pounds, Bias is on the Mustangs radar.

The junior (4.5 forty) for John Paul Stevens (San Antonio) caught 26 balls for four touchdowns and 300 yards in a predominately running offense last season. This year, not only will he play wide receiver, but will also start in the secondary.

"Coach Hill is telling me that they are a team that is on the rise and a team with good academic standards," said Bias. "I'm excited about that. He has also talked to me about the offense they run. It sounds pretty exciting for a wide receiver."

Besides for SMU, North Texas, Texas A&M, OSU, and Baylor are showing interest in the wide out. He will be camping with the Mustangs this summer in hopes of impressing the staff.

PonyStampede.com will track his performance at the SMU camp and have an update.
