"I got the offer on Friday afternoon," Liggins said. "I called Coach Reinebold and he told me. I'm looking to get over there (to Dallas) and visit as soon as possible. I'm planning on going June 24th. I know that Coach Reinebold is shooting out of town in July, so I want to go before that.
"I've looked at SMU more since I got the offer. I see that they won a lot of games and that they throw the ball a good amount. In fact, they throw the ball most of the time. That's the type of offense that I like."
"ULM has been talking to me a lot," said Liggins. "They want me to come to their camp, but they offered me before the camp. They said that they wanted to put the offer on the table before the camp. They've been telling me how everything works. My former teammate Jeron Hamm signed with ULM and he's been telling me about it."
Liggins has, for the most part, taken residency at Leesville High School thus far this summer.
"I've been going to the school four times a day to work out," he said. "I wake up and eat peanut butter sandwiches - and then leave for the school. We lift and run and pretty much everybody leaves after that, except for a few of us. The rest of us run more, then we do some 7-on-7 stuff. After that, I run some more sprints with Jeron and another one of my former teammates."
Last year, Liggins rushed for 584 yards on 88 carries (6.6 yards per carry) with 10 TDs and caught 32 passes for 550 yards (17.2 yards per catch) with six TDs. In the spring game vs. Pineville, Liggins accounted for almost 270 total yards (with four TDs).
