Terrell Woods is a 6'2, 240lb. defensive lineman out of Boaz, Alabama. He's been hearing from a lot of programs, but one took the chance and made the scholarship offer to the talented star.
"They came to visit me at my school a few weeks ago, I think it was Coach Zo," he said. "He said Southern Miss was very interested in me.
"I was just laying in bed the other night and they called my parents and said they were offering me a full ride to play football there."
He always has known about Southern Miss, but after the offer he's really paid attention to the program.
"I was at the point where I had a lot of colleges talk to me, but having them offer, it is really big," he said.
"I know Southern Miss is a really good football program, and I know I'll have to work hard to play there. Some people try to just bride you and say anything, but the coaches were honest with me that I'll have to work hard but I can play early there if I come in and impress."
He is also hearing from Mississippi State, Samford, and he went to a junior day at Alabama.
His schedule is full this summer.
"I have a loaded summer, and coach that has invited me, I am going to go to their camp," he said. "I'll definitely be at Southern Miss this summer."
Woods said that he is working on getting bigger and stronger this summer, and he also wants to work on being quicker off the ball. He was recently clocked at running the 40 in 4.6.
